What happens when I log in with Twitch?

TL;DR: When you log in with Twitch, the only information we see is already public.

Twitch will ask for permission to share your Twitch ID, username and profile picture with us. These pieces of information are already publicly visible on your Twitch profile, and we only use them to link your Pluralmind settings to your Twitch account.

Pluralmind does not have access to anything other than your Twitch ID, username and profile picture. We can't see your email address or take any action on your behalf.

Some folks have thought that Pluralmind was requesting full account access because the permissions list on Twitch's authorization page is empty. In reality, it's empty because we are not requesting any account permissions at all. We don't need them, and we don't want them. 🩷

Does Pluralmind work on any Twitch channel?

Yes! Similar to pronouns extensions, Pluralmind works without streamers needing to do any channel-specific setup.
